Customer care: support channels, dispute processes and the helpline list

A reading on the support channels the desk offers, the dispute processes the desk recommends for real-money rummy platforms, and the helpline list the desk trusts.

Support channels for the Blackjack In reading desk

The desk offers a contact form on the contact page, an editorial email route and a response-time expectation of two working days. The desk does not currently offer a phone support line; the editorial team is small and the email-based support is the most reliable channel. The desk does not offer support for real-money rummy platforms; the platform's own customer-care line is the right address for any account, payment or table issue.

Dispute process for real-money rummy platforms

Every regulated rummy platform in India is required to have a dispute process, a grievance officer and a response-time commitment. The desk publishes the steps in the safety chapter. If the platform's dispute process does not resolve the issue, the desk recommends escalating to the operator's grievance officer, then to the relevant state-level regulator, then to the Online Gaming Appellate Tribunal where it has jurisdiction.

The helpline list the desk trusts

The desk publishes a helpline list for readers who want to talk to a trained counsellor. The list is short and the helplines are the ones the desk has verified, not the ones with the best search placement.

What the desk does when a reader writes in

When a reader writes to the desk, the editorial team triages the message within one working day. Editorial enquiries go to the relevant section editor; correction requests go to the standards editor; partnership enquiries go to the partnerships editor. The desk does not use a chatbot or an auto-responder for any reader-facing channel.

The desk's response-time commitment is two working days for editorial enquiries and five working days for partnership enquiries. The desk publishes the response-time commitment on the contact page and on the editorial standards page. The desk does not commit to a response-time for support queries; the platform's own customer-care line is the right address for support queries.

What the desk does with the data: the desk keeps the message and the response in the editorial inbox for 30 days; after that, the message and the response are archived to a long-term store that is only accessible to the editorial team. The desk does not share the message with any third party, does not use the message for advertising targeting, and does not sell the data to any data broker.

The escalation path for platform disputes

Every regulated rummy platform in India is required to have a dispute process, a grievance officer and a response-time commitment. The escalation path is the same regardless of the platform. The first step is the platform's customer-care line; the second step is the platform's grievance officer; the third step is the relevant state-level regulator; the fourth step is the Online Gaming Appellate Tribunal where it has jurisdiction.

The desk recommends keeping a written log of every step in the escalation path: the date of the first contact, the response received, the date of the second contact, the response received, and so on. The log is what the desk uses if a reader asks for editorial support on a platform dispute; the desk does not advocate for individual readers, but the desk does publish a correction or a note if a platform's dispute process is broken.

What the desk will not do: the desk does not represent individual readers in a dispute, does not contact the platform on the reader's behalf, and does not act as a substitute for the platform's grievance officer. The desk is editorial; the reading is a reading resource; the verdict is the desk's honest reading.
